Thomas Aiken is still on track to claiming his maiden European Tour victory in the final round of the Alfred Dunhill Championship at Leopard Creek on Sunday.

Aiken started the round with a one-stroke lead and has just come through the first nine holes three strokes clear of the field on 19 under par.

The seven-time winner on the Sunshine Tour picked up two birdies at holes two and four, and dropped his first shot of the day on the par-four ninth after driving deep into the left rough and then three-putting for bogey.

Aiken’s nearest challengers going into the back nine are Richard Sterne and American Len Mattiace on 16 under par.
