American Len Mattiace and England’s Robert Rock have already made their move in Saturday’s third round of the Alfred Dunhill Championship at Leopard Creek.
Mattiace has birdied his first two holes to climb to 13 under par for the championship, and Rock has joined him with an eagle on the par-five second.
They are both one stroke clear of Swede Oskar Henningsson, who birdied the second.
World number ten Lee Westwood leads a group of players on 11 under par following three birdies in his opening six holes.
The European Ryder Cup star is joined there by Thomas Aiken, the unheralded Tyrone Mordt, John Morgan, Richard Sterne and David Lynn.
Former champion Charl Schwartzel is currently on 10 under through five holes in one of the most closely contested championship’s to date. |
